Flashgun Casey was produced as a media franchise. There were films, novels, comic books, radio shows and last but not least a TV Series.
Flashgun Casey was the Morning Express photographer and investigated on many crime scenes. There were 40 30-minute episodes starring Richard Carlyle (later replaced by Darren McGavin) as Flash Casey.
The show was broadcasted live from New York. Casey hangs out in the Blue Note Café and tells the barkeeper of his cases. By the way The Blue Note Café Musicians were played by The Tony Mottola Trio.
The show’s director was famous Sidney Lumet.
